Property purchased
We purchased the property with an aspiration of making fine wine on the slopes of an extinct volcano, Mt Anakie.
1996
First Vine Planted
The first vines were planted by hand. This formed the original 33-acre vineyard.
2000
First Vintage
The first commerical vintage of del Rios wine is produced. The dream is getting closer.
2004
The Winery
We built our own fully equipped winery on-site. The whole production process from the vines to being bottled was in our control.
2008
Cellar Door
We open our original cellar door for tastings on the weekend.
2011
Vineyard and Cellar Door Expansion
Our vineyard expands to 41-acres and we have a new cellar door on the hill, overlooking the vines.
2015
Restaurant Opens
Spanish influenced cuisine using the highest quality produce. Designed to compliment the del Rios wine portfolio.

Renovations

Premium Wines
Owner and winemaker Gus del Rio, produces a range of low yield, beautifully crafted wines. The wines are elegant, and complex, reflecting the true varietal character of the Mt Anakie site, in the Moorabool Valley region.
Restaurant
The cuisine is a fusion of traditional Spanish and contemporary influences using the highest quality produce from estate grown livestock and produce. Enjoyed in an idyllic setting overlooking our vineyards with a sweeping back drop from Geelong to the You Yangs.
Tasting Room
Our tasting room is the best place to experience our wine collection, with a focus on single-vineyard and small parcel wines. There are a range of experiences on offer for the novice or experienced wine drinker to enjoy our wines.
